Armand Tatossian’s diploma work for the Royal Canadian Academy into wich he was accepted the youngest member ever in 1973. Born in 1948, he’s an artist since 1965. He is a master of light, it creates the threes with their foliages, it brings out the essence of the ground of forest. Tatossian does profoundly understand and has learned through long years of hard work and continuous efforts to capture the definitive varieties of light’s manifestations. Son and grandson of painters of Armenian origin, he has started already in his adolescent years his canvasses. After his arrival in Canada, under the guidance of his teachers G. Mazjner and Sherriff-Scott, he has managed to capture the light of a Northern country, the subtle and ever changing light of Québec, Canada.
