Patrick Rodrigue - Back to the list


Patrick Rodrigue paints urban scenes as well as lanscapes. His work is characterized by a strong drawing, solid compositions, a remarkably refined palet of color and high quality play of light.

Born in Quebec City in 1964, Patrick Rodrigue completed a B.A. in graphic design at Laval University (1987). He studied drawing and painting at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto (1992). This second training included a year of independant studies in Florence , Italy (1992). During his stay abroad, he was selected for a grant by the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation (1991).

Since 1994, Patrick Rodrigue has been present in many galeries throughout the province of Québec . He gained recognition through numerous solo, as well as group exhibitions. Télé-Québec shot a TV report on him for its series « La route des Arts » (2001). His work has appeared twice on the cover of the Outremont phone directory (1998 and 2002). One of his painting was selected for appearance in the Hydro-Québec corporative calendar (2001).
